Netflix Reveals Official Title ‘iHostage’

We are thrilled to share that Netflix has officially announced iHostage as the title for its upcoming Original movie, produced by Horizon Film. The announcement was made during the "Next on Netflix" event, held on October 14th.

iHostage is a gripping thriller inspired by the real-life events that took place on February 22nd, 2022, at the Apple Store in Leidseplein, Amsterdam. The film delves deep into the dramatic hostage situation, bringing to light the various perspectives of the individuals involved, including the perpetrator, the hostages, and the first responders.

With its intense and immersive narrative, iHostage promises to be a captivating cinematic experience that offers a unique view into one of Amsterdam’s most shocking incidents. The film is written by Simon de Waal and directed by Bobby Boermans, featurings stars such as Soufiane Moussouli, Marcel Hensema, Loes Haverkort, Louis Talpe, and many many more.
