NETFLIX UNVEILS FIRST LOOK OF iHOSTAGE

Amsterdam, March 4, 2025 - Netflix unveils the first images of iHostage, a gripping thriller inspired by the hostage situation in the Apple Store in the heart of Amsterdam. The film portrays the events from the perspectives of the perpetrator, the hostages, and the emergency services. The hostage crisis captivated the city and the entire country, drawing worldwide attention. iHostage is directed by Bobby Boermans (The Golden Hour, Mocro Maffia), produced by Horizon Film and written by Simon de Waal (The Golden Hour, Sleepers). The film will premiere globally on Netflix on April 18. 

About the Film
iHostage is a gripping thriller inspired by the shocking 2022 hostage crisis at Amsterdam's Apple Store. The film follows a Bulgarian man caught in a life-threatening ordeal as an armed assailant holds the building's occupants hostage.
