Horizon Film Launches: A New Production Company by Sabine Brian, Diederik van Rooijen & Boudewijn Rosenmuller

By launching Horizon Film, the three seasoned film and television professionals are joining forces to create distinctive and groundbreaking drama for a wide and diverse audience. This new collaboration has led to a strong beginning, with the company's first major drama series already filmed and currently in post-production. Additionally, two other projects are in pre-production: a high-end action series and an edge-of-your-seat film.

Brian, former producer and managing director of NL Film, has successful productions such as 'Anonymous', 'The Rules of Floor', and 'Banker of the Resistance' to her name. Within Horizon Film, she takes on the daily leadership. Brian emphasizes: "We look forward to raising the bar for Dutch drama in collaboration with the many talented creators our country has to offer. For us, placing importance on quality comes before quantity, and we dedicate ourselves wholeheartedly to each project. By focusing on a limited number of projects, we are able to provide our full attention to creators and clients."

Rosenmuller has worked as a producer on projects like 'The Golden Hour', 'Rundfunk', and 'Commandos', and within the new company, he focuses on the development of a diverse and distinctive slate. Van Rooijen, known for works such as ‘Heirs of the Night’, ‘Penoza’, and ‘Legacy’, remains active as a writer, director, and producer, now exclusively within Horizon Film. Diederik adds: "I'm very proud to have written and directed Horizon Film's inaugural series. It will serve as a powerful introduction for our new company, a high-end thriller with distinct American influences. Now that we've also begun pre-production on a major new series and our first film, we can rightly say that we're off to a promising start."
